Pursuing degrees in both Computer Science and Political Science, Ryan is not only driven academically, but is also very socially responsible. He is a member of the University's Public Service Student Advisory Board, as well as the Judicial Panel Pool and Board on Judicial Affairs. His concern for others is shown through his other projects, including the Menlo Atherton High School Robotics Team, which he founded and coached, raising $15,000 in the process. He is a Stanford tour guide and his ties to student government and leadership might stem from his stint as an ASSU Senate Associate or his work as a founding member of the Engage Student Center program, which creates a comprehensive database for all student activities on campus, as well provides advice on extra-curricular matters. Ryan's mastery of brainstorming will add to this slate's variety of valid and worthwhile events and programs for next year.

Majoring and coterming in Sociology, Mary serves as one of the four Junior Class Presidents this year. She holds the chief executive officer position and directs the main strategies and functions of the presidents. Last year, she transferred from Fordham University in New York, where she was head coordinator of community service programs. She brought her interest in service and leadership to Stanford and spearheaded many of this past year's class activities. Currently on the executive board of the Pre-Law Society, she is also its publicity chair and is a past Admit Weekend coordinator. You might catch her serving up a cup of coffee at the CoHo or outside, organizing a service project. Always an optimist, Mary's confidence aids in her unfailing ability to rally everyone to benefit from and add value to the task that's being done.

The second of three Junior Class Presidents on this slate, Mikey's major in Communication comes after a last-minute switch from the Product Design program. This year, he worked with the Alumni Association's student development leaders to organize one of the junior class' largest and most successful events, Junior Alumni Night. A veteran of leadership programs and event-planning, one of his other passions includes journalism. Twice a news editor for the Stanford Daily, he is now a guest columnist for the paper, doling out advice on dating and student life in his columns. A member and past social chair of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Mikey also fronts the campus rock band Midget Mosaic. With an eclectic and extensive mix of interests, he is arguably the main source of drive and constructive spontaneity for this year's class presidents.

A Human Biology major, Shayna's concentration is in Public Health Policy. Also a Junior Class President, her role as publicity coordinator for the slate involves much communication with and between students and the administration (if you didn't receive at least a few emails from her this year, you're probably not on the class list) as well as a drive to create and bring together new events. A proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Shayna recently served as its philanthropy chairwoman. She held the post of Vice President of Cultural Activities in the Sophomore Class Presidential cabinet, and has been active in both the AIDS/HIV and Women's Issues alternative spring break trips. A creative mind with a knack for getting things done, Shayna's value to this year's Junior Class Presidents is matched only by her positive outlook and common-sense tackling of challenging situations.
